It's only a little over a week now before the debut of Alluring Song. I am very excited and terrified at the same time! This book means so much to me.

This week I have been tackling the marketing side of releasing a book ... ugh. I would like to think I am slowly making progress but at this point I'm still unsure. This is the biggest hurdle! There are so many talented writers, it is hard to get noticed!

I am trying to find people who are willing to post reviews for me on Amazon and Goodreads. This is the best way to get your book noticed by readers. The trouble is finding people who can. There are so many bloggers out there who do book reviews but they get swamped with requests. It feels like I sit in front of the computer for hours at a time and accomplish nothing. This process is definitely not encouraging :(

I dream of the day a publisher does this part for me so I can focus on my writing.
The one part I know I am good at and absolutely love!

The Wait Is Almost Over!

2 weeks!!

In exactly two weeks I will officially be published!

Now that I am into the thick of getting my book published I will never be able to look at a book the same again. I have always appreciated books because I have always loved to read and write but until you actually know whats involved for an author to publish their work, you cannot truly appreciate what they went through to have that final product available to readers.

There is so much heart in every book, so much time invested, and so much determination. It really is wonderful!

My Thunderclap Campaign!

Alluring Song Thunderclap Campaign

I have started a thunderclap campaign. For those of you who are not familiar with Thunderclap., it is a crowd-speaking platform to get a message out. I am using it to promote the release of my book, ALLURING SONG, coming June 4th!

If you click on the link, you can sign up for the  message to be posted to your  Facebook, Twitter or Tumblr account, whichever you prefer, on the day of my book release. The message on the campaign will be posted on your timeline.

I have signed up for a few campaigns for others, when you go through the steps it will ask for access to your friends list. This is strictly to keep stats on the social reach. Thunderclap will not spam you!

Release Date!

June 4, 2015!!

I have committed to a date. I was able to get a timeline from everyone that will be involved in the final steps and this is what I came up with...now I have to make sure it happens :)

I'm am very excited about the developing plot that I am working on for my next book!
Today was full of brainstorming and developing characters. I love creating!

What's happening now...

I received my manuscript back from my editor, Allister Thompson (allisterthompson.com), this week! I was hard at work going through his edits...I may have a few bad habits when it comes to grammar :)

Allister is absolutely wonderful! He is extremely helpful and exceptional at what he does. He made all the necessary changes while preserving my style of writing. He also gave me very positive feedback. 

I am trying to determine a release date but this is such a new process for me. I am learning as I go. I am  planning for June 1st...I don't want to officially announce it until I know I can make it happen. Most of the final steps that need to be taken, are out of my control.

I sent my book to a few *beta readers to review it for me and then it needs a final proof before I can begin the process of getting it formatted for the different ebook applications as well as paperback for Amazon's "Print on Demand" option. In a week or two I hope to have a better idea of the time frame I need to complete all the steps.
